Rajasthan Royals get the Kingston Edgeperience!

During the DLF IPL 2012 this year, Kingston, the US-based, world’s No. 1 independent memory module manufacturer, will be decked in blue cheering the Rajasthan Royals on. The world’s leading memory products manufacturer will be the Official Memory Partner for Rajasthan Royals – the DLF Indian Premier League team. In addition to partnering with an outstanding T20 cricket side in India’s largest cricketing fiesta, Kingston also has the distinction of being the first and only memory brand represented in the tournament through its partnership with the Rajasthan Royals.

To melt into local societies, Kingston has been always tailoring its marketing campaigns through localization. It was probably the first memory brand in India to transform the way consumers look at memory products by giving them a trendier, lifestyle appeal. This was especially seen when Kingston’s marketing campaigns last year went on to include film merchandise and promotions. The newest campaign with the Rajasthan Royals once again sets a new precedent as far as memory products are concerned.

 With internationally acclaimed cricket stars like Rahul Dravid, Shane Watson, Johan Botha, Ajinkya Rahane and Shaun Tait, Kingston couldn’t possibly have picked a better side to partner with. The side, which was the winner of the first IPL iteration, boasts of a mix of youthful energy and adept experience that will be difficult to beat. The team will also be given a memory kit from Kingston that will include USB Flash drives, microSD cards, RAMs and a whole lot of other cool Kingston products. The company has also planned a wide range of exciting consumer and trade activities during the summer to coincide with the cricket season. Additionally, Kingston will make available some interesting merchandise like caps, t-shirts, masks and key chains during the Rajasthan Royals’ games on digital platforms.

 The brand will also go beyond standard advertising throughout the tournament, and will use this occasion to create a massive buzz online especially in the social media space –Facebook, the Kingston Blog and other online forums and communities. Kingston’s online promotions will be in synergy with the Rajasthan Royals’ promotions too.
