Kingston introduces Data Traveler 100

Kingston Technology announced the availability of its Data Traveler 100 (DT 100) USB Flash drive. With a capless design, the USB connector is housed inside the Data Traveler's casing.

There is a new, "thumb-action" slide positioned on the side of the drive, which makes it retracting and protracting the USB connector.

Data can be transferred through DataTraveler 100 from one digital device to another without passwords or built-in software programs. It is available in capacities up to 8GB.

"The DataTraveler 100's new thumb-action, retractable design reduces the drive's overall size which allows for easy and unobtrusive transport in a pocket or attached to a keychain," said Rajesh Panicker, Country Manager, India, Kingston Technology. He added, "With 1, 2, 4 and 8GB capacities available, the DT 100 is the perfect solution for storing image files and documents."

DataTraveler 100 is fully compatible with Windows Vista, XP (SP1 and above) and 2000 (SP3 and above) as well as Mac OS (10.x and above) and Linux (2.4 and above). In addition, the USB drive is fully compliant with high-speed USB 2.0 specifications, which makes the transfer of files and documents fast and convenient. As with all Kingston USB drive products, the DataTraveler 100 carries a five-year warranty.
